I am dealing with Eastside Lenders in Delaware. I have sent them the unlicensed letter with revoking my wage assignment. I had paid most of the principal and have $145.00 left to pay. I told them I will be mailing it in with a money order. They are telling me that they don't do anything with postal mail and it will not show arrangement behind made to the account. In this instance what do I do.

How do I get out of this mess?

Can anyone tell me if PDLs are legal or illegal in CT? If legal, how do I get out of this mess? If illegal, same question. I currently have loans with Ameriloan, One Click, Hydra Fund, Redstone, Payment Solutions (they repeatedly charge the interest only and do not do pay-downs), Sandpoint, and Sure Advance. I really need to stop the madness.

Legal action an illegal lender can take against me.

I have read a lot of the posts and it has all been very helpful. I just wanted to make sure I understood everything right. If I live in Connecticut and Payday loans are illegal in this state, that means that even though I have paid over $600 on a $250 dollar loan, I don't actually have to pay them anything? Will not paying have any affect on my credit score? One other question. Is there any legal action an illegal lender can take against me if I don't pay what they claim I still owe or if I hypothetically took out a new loan and then changed my bank account.

Struggling to cover interest payments

I currently have out four payday loans in California. I've been struggling to cover the interest payments alone and then had a payday loan that was set up on the opposite weeks of my payday. My bank account is now over drafted and I'm in a never ending cycle for NSF fees. I feel like my debt is spiraling more and more out of control. Anyone know exactly what my options are for the state of California? I have loans out with... 247GreenStreet / vandelier group / Payday One / 500FastCash

Going to send an income verfication letter

I have a question. I live in NJ and I took out a PayDay loan with Plain Green which I haven't been able to pay back so they enlisted Frontier Financial to call me for collection. I still don't have any money to pay them and they keep calling me and they just called and said that they are going to send an income verfication letter to my employer to collect the funds. Are they allowed to do that? First off I took out a loan for 700 dollars and they are saying I owe them 1500 which I know I only have to pay back the principal because I live in NJ.

How do I go about seeing if the loans are all legal?

I live in Massachusetts and currently have 5 outstanding loans.
Pepper Cash - $500 with $100 fee
PayDay Max - $740 with $275 fee
Cash Cure - $500 with $150 fee
AdvanceMe Today - $350 with $105 fee
Plain Green - $450 with $140 fee
I'm in serious need of help! I ended up taking out more loans just to pay the ones I already had. Please help me with what I need to do next. I've been paying on these for a few months already. How do I go about seeing if these are all legal in Massachusetts? I need to do something and fast!

Is there anyway our bank can help us?

My husband and I received a loan from VIP Cash in the amount of $700. When the approached my husband with the loan, I told him that I wasn't sure about it. After reading post in this forum, I now know they are illegal in CA and owe us a refund of $1,690. Once we go to the bank to close our account, is there anyway our bank can help us recoup some of the money owed? Is is too late to dispute any of the charges?
