I have struggled over the years after a divorce and sometimes used payday loans. On one income it is really hard. I have worked part-time but still struggle. Right now my problem is 3 payday loans. I have been sending them money every month but Cash Transfer is threatening to garnish my wages. They keep contacting my supervisor at work saying get a message to me. Can you tell me if the 3 loans I have are legal in Virginia.
Cash Transfer - borrowed 600.00 owe 862.00 paid $ 400.00
Getem Cash - Borrowed 300.00 owe 562.00 paid $ 100.00

Ameriloan - borrowed $400, paid $360 to date. internet
United Cash Loans - borrowed $400, paid $805 to date. internet
Plain Green - borrowed $300 haven't paid anything yet.

Just got a call from a company named Lanphier Associates, they say. Telling me that if I did not pay them or give them my lawyers name that they would pick me up tomorrow at 11am. First off, I do not have any PDL's nor have I for over a year. Second, I googled the name and it is a marketing company so I called them and let them know that this group was using their name in this way. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. I also found on complaintsboard.com that others have been contacted. This is such a scam and it makes me really mad! Anyone else affected?

Can you direct me in where I can get a listing of the State laws for payday loans in North Carolina? I know that we are one of the most liberal states with this matter, but I would still think there are some restrictions. Also, what about the following ipdl companies: Plain Green, VIP Loan Shop and zip19.com.

Is it difficult to get a hard close?

I need some advice on Arizona payday loans. I have 6 loans that were taken out via the internet. When I searched the companies licensed in Arizona only 1 out of the 6 were? Does that mean the other 5 are illegal loans? Does that mean that I only need to repay the principal owed on these loans? Do the fees paid in interest/fees count towards this principle? Is it difficult to get a hard close through Bank of America?

Tomorrow entire paycheck will be gone

I live in Connecticut and fell into the payday loan trap! Once the finance charges for my loans go through tomorrow my entire paycheck will be gone. I currently have 11 loans out and can not pay any of them off. There are 2 loans that I have paid the finance charge for over a year now and another loan that I have been paying on since February 2012. I need to know how to get out of this trap, I am a single parent and can not afford anything right now!!
