Credit inquiry-How to remove it and improve credit score

Submitted by firefly23 on Thu, 02/12/2009 - 04:06

Hi. I'm new to the forum, and I have some questions...

I just got my credit score back, and it was kinda crappy, but it could have been worse (683), and I was wondering how much that's going to hurt me. My fiance and I are trying to buy a house in 6 months. Is that going to be a problem? I know expectations are low right now, but are they that low? What do you know about credit inquiry removal?

On my credit review, it told me that I didn't have my credit in for long enough. I've had some of my cards for 3 years! How long is long enough??

I sent out a debt validation letter to 2 collection agencies. Neither one of them responded "correctly" to the letter. Both sent me a computer print out. However, one followed up with a letter including a statement. The statement is $200 less than what they say I owe. Can I have these deleted completely off of my credit? If so, How?

Hey all,
I am new to these forums, but I wanted to post some information that really helped me a while back. Like most people today, I was up to my eyeballs in debt and ran across this ebook about credit repair. It required some effort on my part, but the information pointed me in the right direction and saved me from wasting alot of time on useless phone calls.

Another hospitol bill delimma?

Submitted by fireyone on Sun, 11/23/2008 - 14:44

I got my mail late last night and seen a hospitol bill in there that I could not figure out why it would be. It was from a hospitol that has a pain clinic office unit as part of the hospitol. I go there for continueing care. I pay every co pay up front. Well apparently this bill is from that service because I had started to see a phycologist to deal with the evryday pain. Thing is I always pay her directly the $20 co-pay. I recieved a bill from the hospitol for the co-pay now. I have only been there twice so far and recorded each check number and payment.

Any advice appreciated

Hello everyone. I know very little about credit and am having a hard time making a decision. I have about 7 years of credit history. About 5 years ago, I got myself into a little debt. I overdrafted my bank accounts ($600 and $150), and have an unpaid $650 home phone bill. All three of these debts are unpaid and have been on my credit for about 5 years now, and have been passed from collector to collector countless times. I once heard that un-settled debts eventually get removed from the report. Is this true?

recognize this number?

Does anyone recognize this number: 866-216-0327... I am wondering if it is yet another collector. The debt I had is past SOL and I really do not feeling like answering yet another collectors calls. Probably bought the debt recently and I may have to pull up the cease and desist. I have tried to look it up myself but haven't had any luck.
