I can not believe how many scams are out there since I have been looking to get a loan to pay off our credit card debt . My husband hurt himself in Jan and just went back to work but he works in the manufacturing automotive industry and they are not doing very well very worried about his job. My credit card debt is about 14,000 and two car loans amounting to 10,000 .. We are in the process of our home loan modification and hoping that works out. I did however started calling on my own the credit card company's for example Lowes project card hate that one very high interest 16.79%because we thought we could pay it off in 6 months ha that was a joke on us.. Love that thought .. That is how we got so burried I guess.. Then my husband went on disability so we were living on credit cards to get through the 9 1/2 months... Anyways I have come to the realization that there is no bank right now that is willing to take on 14,000 of credit card debt in one loan especially to someone that in 2 years out of BK7 .... So we fell again and now I am doing my own research thats how I found this forum and like I said finding out a lot of the loan scams which is really great because I cannot afford to get into a scam to pay off stressful debt right now. It is pretty sad that these are actual people that are taking advantage of each other like this . I seen a site which had a company that I call _ _ _ ( Dont want to getin trouble lol) anyways the customer service reps /loan advisors were stating that they had to push consumers into advances on credit cards and loans that they could not afford.. Two employees came forward and this is one one the largest banks america deals with .. This is getting serious I am afraid to even talk to debt consolidation people. When I talked to lowe's the person I spoke to told me that they would cut my monthly payment in half and half my interest rate for 6 months that was the best they could do.. Well I told him about the credit consolidation I was looking into and he said I just did it myself and did not get charged high fees from those company's because that is all they do anyway. THEY CALL IN MAKE A DEAL TO CUT PAYMENTS AND CHARGE YOU TO DO SO.. So at this point it is so hard to believe representatives , loan officers, banks , I don't know anything else to do but deal with the companies I have the current loan with and make arangements and hope for the best. I am new here and so happy to find a forum to go to with others in the same deal..

It is very hard once you get behind or get a lot of credit card debt. There is not always a simple solution out there especially if your credit is bad. Seems like you had a pretty bad misfortune and had to accumulate even more debt. Do not feel bad you are not alone. I wonder if maybe you call your other credit card companies if they will give you a deal like Lowes did. It would give you a chance to get back on your feet and at least give you a little releif from all the high monthly bills. Now this will only put it off for so long. I do not know a lot of places that will consolidate that will not end up giving you a higher interest rate. Stick around here at the forum because you have come to the right place. Some others may know of some decent placs to get loans combined.

I had a company called credit exchange contact me tonight his name was john. He said he was a CCCS credit counselor and gave me his certificate number to verify ..
He actually was trying to explain to me that the debt consolidation does not hurt your credit at all. They have many programs and some that would hurt your credit and others that will not but since we are not late he suggested the Debt consolidation have you heard of this program? It turns out the monthly payments are what we pay in minimums anyways 400 approx a month on just minimum payments . With this plan 3 1/2 years paying 426.00 month and we will be done
We owe 13,575.38 in this program he could not put some of the debt in which was about 500.00 .. In the end of the 3-4 years we would have paid with fees 18,763.00 with fees and interest so I guess in a nutshell it would be 5168.62 in fees interest as he says it saving 20,000 in fees just making minimums..
He said they go through a recorded verifcation to make sure I would uderstand the process thoroughly. So has anyone heard of this company and have had any procgress? Nothing usually is as good as it sounds. Maybe you can find some worthy companies through this site or through searching the internet. I believe there probaly are some pretty good places out there and the bad ones just gave the good ones a not so nice name. Is rhere any way you can contact some of these credit card places and see if they would be willing to work with you?

I have studied your situation and have come to the conclusion that there is no way out to get rid of this debt. The amount is so high that it is even difficult to get a debt consolidation loan. Moreover, you have already filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy which has already devastated your credit score. If you don't have a source of income to pay back this $24000, under payment plan, it is not worth going for debt consolidation. All you can do is to wait for the creditor to sue you to the court.

The answer to your question is in the question itself. It is not that elseone would help the most but it's you. The 'take it easy' is the problem and loan habit itself is dangerous. Anyway, first comes the debt consolidation, if not, then comes arbitration ( to reduce actual loan figures on hardship filing- no need of fresh loan). If that is not the the solution then go for Obama's new package on hardship filing for your home. Still not working, then go for rent back home (You have only rental type charge on your home, selling the house on rent back option & if possible on buy back).
Yet not solved with problems, then adjust the situation. There are alternatives with hopes. Afterall why file backrupcy? Did anyone ever gave up eating when food is not available?
