Budgeting your expenditures

I am looking for some help in getting my budget in order, does anybody have some suggestions and/or ideas for getting started with a good budget? What is a solution that I can do online or from anywhere?

What does it take to stick to a budget? What are some suggestions that you out there have used and really been helpful? I find that I get real motivated at first but then life gets busy and the budget starts to slip. Using Mvelopes to work on my budget has really helped, now I need advice to help keep that motivation up and strong. What do you suggest?

last year my husband and i purchased an older home with asbestos siding . for appearance as well as maintenance sake we took out a second mortgage to have the siding covered with a vinyl siding , it substantially reduced our energy costs (we spent less than $400 heating our homelast winter) . well i want to know when the mortgages can be combined and other repairs can be made that can make our home improvements tax deductible......the second mortgage is through a private company and that was arranged through the contractors , the primary mortgage is a pity mortgage through fha.
