need help, 3 months to fix credit and find a place to stay.

So where to start..hopefully this is the right place to post sorry if its long.

I have about 13,000/14,000 in debt not included medical, my score took a dive about below 600. I have 3months to get a place to stay, and i have 2,000 set aside for security as a backup plan. I really need a house, aside from the items i have (kids jungle gym and such) it would save me alot of money in the future if i get a house now because i can take all the items from this house (gardent tools, mower, pool, furniture).

Hello, I live in Illinois. I have been sued and lost in court. Judgement entered. I do have a home paid off 100%. Could never get a home equity cause of my bad credit. Anyway, Can they put a lien on the home, even if I have a lien on it already for back taxes? Also, How common are sherriff sales, as in comming in your home and empty out everything you own? If we own the home jointly, and Illinois has a 4,000 exemption allowance, BUT the judgement is only in my name... can I double the 4 thousand allowance for my spouse also and make it eight?

Have you guys thought of trying a repayment plan yet? If you have money now, the best way to do this is to have a word with your carrier and set up a repayment plans. Make sure you explain your current financial obligations to your carrier before you agree for such repayments.

My wife wont stop spending!

See, you have to explain things to your wife and come to terms with your expenses. The fact that you can't sleep peacefully and that you eat out of stress is causing more harm to you than she realizes now. If you're charging all expenses on your credit cards, then you'd probably end up sharing the same fate as that of millions of others here. I'm sure you don't wanna get buried under a huge debt burden sooner or later.

Debt Validation Letter Questions Please

See, if they're just sending you a printed statement depicting an amount that they say you owe, it's simply not done. They must show you the proof that they either own it or have been assigned by the original creditor (OC). It must also include a document (from the OC) which states the actual amount owed by you. If this debt is not verified within a period of 30 days, then the CA has no right to pursue collection efforts, nor does it have any right to list it on the CR.

My husband and i had to short sell our house after he was laid off. We got a 1099c from the bank. My question is we also had PMI (private mortgage insurance) on the house can the PMI company try and come after us for the amount we were 1099 on?
