Bad credit history this is one thing that no one would like to get associated with It can happen to anyone without even recognizing its harm, as a result of unmanageable situations like long illness, calamity or any other misfortune.
The solution is trimming down the home mortgage rates. Everyone would like to shift to the lowest interest rate feasible and save some money. Even though you have bad credit history, you can obtain refinance mortgage loan that has lower interest rates

question about paying debts back

Submitted by marcusandila on Fri, 11/20/2009 - 17:49

So, I've been thinking about my options on repaying my debt. I'm on the road [very long road] to becoming debt-free [besides mortgages] & I was wondering what you all thought about this idea that I had. I'm sure other people thought about it too, but I personally have been really thinking about it here lately.

First of all, I always read "NEVER pay JUST the minimum payment unless you REALLY can't afford to pay more". This is to pay the interest down. Right ??

Incorrect collection practices by collection agencys

Submitted by Ruthie on Sun, 11/15/2009 - 06:38

Can some please tell me how to dispute a credit agencys report which says I owe a bill from Assett collections LLC that became past due in 2008 when they have a different acct. number from the original creditor they bought it from. Which was 2004. It was beneficial and then HSBC and then Asset collections, and now I guess they sold it to Midland credit. All the dates are wrong. I have sent out validation letters on the 27th of October by certified mail, and the got them on the 30th of Oct. The original acct is scheduled to drop off in July 2010 but the other agencys say not until Oct 2013.

Options after default judgment entered?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Sat, 11/14/2009 - 00:16

My BF recently had a default judgment entered against him as a result of some unpaid credit card debt. Does he still have the leverage to make a settlement offer (for less than the full amount of the debt) before they seek a wage garnishment order? What's the ballpark time frame between the judgment being entered and the garnishment of wages in the state of CA?

Question about disputes.

Submitted by flowcentral on Fri, 11/13/2009 - 16:46

I received a collection notice about 2 months ago so I returned a phone call to the collection agency. I informed her that I was disputing the debt and asked for validation over the phone. I've been reading and it looks like you are supposed to dispute and ask for validation through the mail. Well the account has me and one other person on it, she was unable to verify the debt but called the other party and scared them into making a payment. As of right now it just showed up on my credit report (as disputed) but was never validated.

home loan

i need a home loan and would like your opinion before I start applying and possibly get turned down. I got my credit scores a few months ago 739-transunion 635-experian, have not gotten equifax yet, they are giving me problems apparantly I'm not answering their verification questions to their satisfaction. when I got these scores I had 3 credit card write offs. 2 show as paid and one is not but is past the SOL for collection. I have never been late on a mortgage payment. I have since gotten one of the paid w/offs deleted as well as 2 late payments on another account.
