i have been trying to fix my credit score problems over the past month. It seems this is going to take months and im willing to put the time and effort in this. I disputed 4 accts I have with midland that are due to fall off in 2015 .. I sent a dv they could not validate so I disputed it with Experian. after just 1 day I looked at the report and all that it said was updated and that Midland did not violate any fdcra laws.. what would or should be my next steps
I am trying so hard to build our credit score. We have had past history of credit problems but slowly are building . last i checked about a year ago our score was like 648. But still we cant do anything hardly. i dont know why. we are still considered high risk. I was reading on here to go to the credit union credit cards because they are easier to get and make sure you pay them every month. My question is what cards can someone get that is considered high risk and where do i get them..
Would applying for a credit card ,(if i can find one to except me) would this raise my credit score? I tried to get a lowes card and i dont know why but i was denied. Also where is the best place to get your credit score . I mean i feel uneasy putting my credit card in to get my score... has anyone else done that?
It has been a while since I have been here, happy to say that I have paid off my mortgage finally. Had to wait till the month of october to get the last deliquency off my credit report so it would raise my credit score significantly.
I have had some luck in getting a small card to continue to work on my score, it is mid 700's now, but that is a big jump from 500 to low 600's a few years ago.
So for everyone working on it, keep tugging away, send in a little extra each time if you can afford it, it is amazing what $10 extra bucks a month does for your debt.
