Hi,

Welcome to the community :). You will have a good experience here.
Are you having trouble with the collection agency? What kind of problems are you facing? Are they harassing you?

Good Wishes

Hi,

Collection agencies can be cumbersome. I think vbgf should write a letter to this agency.

VBGF please make a written communication mentioning that you do not want any further communication with them because you have already disputed the debts. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) they cannot communicate further unless it is for informing what they intend to do next, e.g. stopping its effort to collect the debt or filing a law suit against you.
When you write the letter do not forget to mention the following
a) Your name and address
b) The account number and statement received from the collection agency if available.
c) The date
d) State that you are using your rights under the FDCPA.
e) State that you want them to stop calling or writing to you or may be both.
f) Keep a copy of the letter with you.
g) Send the letter through registered post so that you have proof.
h) Keep track of the phone calls, its timings, what they are saying.

Remember that you can sue the collection agency if they continue harassing you. This is your right under the FDCPA.

Thanks and Regards
Laura
