Remove Negative items on credit report

Hello All,

There is alot of information floating around the internet about how to handle the credit repair project yourself. I would like to review the basic areas to try to put a flowchart together that would help myself focus on the overlooked strategies of credit repair.

1. pull a copy of your credit report and review the tradelines to identify damaging issues to your credit score.
2. Compile a send in DV (debt validation) letters to those tradeline furnishers who are identified as collection agencies. Send the letter certified mail with electronic signature confirmation or RRR (return receipt requested).
3. wait 30 days for a reply.
4. Re-send a followup DV letter to the CA with CMRRR (CMESC); include a copy of the original letter with the CMRRR.
5. File a dispute with the CRA and include a copy of the original letter with CMRRR requesting to remove the tradeline because the CA did not validate the tradeline.
6. If the CRA verifies the tradeline then file a request for MOV.
7. Send a 623 letter to the OC and see if you receive a reply.

How is this so far. What am I missing and where do I go from here?

I never really bothered about my credit, I knew I was paying bills on time and had only a store card and a gas card. I refinanced my house a couple of years ago and got a very good rate (long history with the company, cut length of mortgage dramatically, got a very low rate). I was a little surprised at how low my credit score was when I did it, so I thought I should get a credit card to have a real CC on my report, and I was turned down for one. This was a little bit of a wakeup call, so I went and got a CC from my local Credit Union, and kept paying bills on time. Then last July 2019 it seemed as though I might move house, talked to my mortgage company and got approved for a new mortgage and was horrified to find out that after 5 years of perfect payments I still had low credit scores. I then started doing some of the right things (more by guesswork than good judgment) and started disputing that which was incorrect. Then this board was formed, and suddenly a wealth of information became available to me. I disputed more, discovered the importance of a credit repair official. I decided to try one so I contacted GREG REPAIR surprisingly he boosted my score to 796 in less than 6 working days , I couldn't believe it because I have never used a credit repair service before. The following week I re applied and my credit card was approved alongside my House. I have contacted different repair companies and I figured out they are only after money, they couldn’t even explain what they know how to do.
