I see in few of the posts, that some of the people have been successful in settling their debts by working with Credit Solutions. But I still feel it is always better to repair your credit on your own. Credit Repair Companies negotiate with your creditors, try to reduce the debt amount and settle it. If you feel that you could very well negotiate with your creditor on your own, there is no point in enrolling with a Credit Repair Company.

If you could elaborate and give the details of the debt, I am very sure the Forum members will be able to help.

Ivin, do you really feel they have helped? I am scheduled to be signed up in August...I really liked the lady I spoke with and felt that she was very helpful. They did not accept one of my lower balance cards because she told me that specific creditor does not like to deal. I am trying to get any good reports on this company I can find. The BBB doesn not have much on them but I don't put 100% faith in the BBB.

I've almost fall for this scam and thanks to all the feedback in this forum that changed my decision to request a STOP to the process on this debt free program that I enrolled (credit solutions). I didn't wanna take any chances with this company and end up losing my money like Randy did. This is a SCAM! I know from personal experience. DO NOT DO business with them. They may now be doing business under the name of Clear One Debt Relief or Clear One Debt Solutions. They were formerly doing business under the name of Start Positive until they got busted.

Thanks former credit solutions employee. I could just kick myself. I read these before after I had signed up and tried to cancel. First of all, I faxed them the cancellation form and they still kept calling me because I was set up for Nov.5th for the first fee of $100.00. I finally talked to someone and asked them why I need to talk to them when I faxed the cancellation notice. They said its policy, so they transferred me to someone and I told them I want to cancel. They asked why? I told them I did some research on the internet and decided not to do it because I can open a savings account and put money into for my bills and not pay a fee to do that. They went on and on saying you can't believe everything you read on the internet, somehow they talked me into staying with them. They received the first fee from me already. Today I was trying to get a loan of some kind because my checking account is empty again and I came across info regarding debt consolidation so i thought that might be a better solution for me than credit solutions. Then again I came across these posts and now I am going to have to cancel with them. No ifs, and's or buts!!!! Thanks for the advise, I can still get out while its still early.

I am with credit solutions, they have recieved 4 very large payments from me and have not negotiated one deal yet, it's been almost 5 months I'm getting very skeptical......they better not be a rip off!

I am in the process of working with Credit Solutions. It has been a year and basically we pay them $150 a month for nothing. They advise you to not pay your bills for 3 months so you look like you need assistance. The claim they will cut your debt in half but it is basically right back to were it was before I allowed it to accumulate all the late and finance charges. We took there advice and put money away, called them to say we were ready to make an offer and they told us the credit card company said it wasn't enough. But we were at the original amount. Now I feel stuck with this company that isn't helping us in anyway. They don't pay it for you and allow you to make payments. You have to come up with a huge lump sum which is hard to do when you have to continue to pay them monthly. I wouldn't do it again.
