Getting threatening emails

I have paid and paid and paid, but still owe several hundred dollars to 2 different PDL companies. I live in NC. They are established outside of NC. I stopped the payments and am not getting threatening emails and calls. What can I do?

Welcome to the forums!!!
Payday lending is prohibited in NC. That means the lenders are illegal. You owe principal only. Don’t pay them an extra dime other than the principal. No fees, no interest. Close down your old bank account and open a new one.
