how can you make crispy chicken thats good for you? Ihave never been good at makeing crispy chicken but now i have heart problems and cant have the fat but would love to know how to make really crispy chicken without it being dried like rubber any suggestions are welcome. i am really hungrary for some kentucky fried chicken.

4 cups wheat-flake or cornflake cereal, lightly crushed

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with vegetable oil spray.
In a pie pan or on a piece of aluminum foil, stir together the cereal and garlic.
In a small bowl, combine the ginger, paprika, salt if using, and pepper. Sprinkle the seasonings on both sides of each piece of chicken.
Roll the chicken in the cereal crumbs to coat. Lightly spray the chicken on all sides with vegetable oil spray and put on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown, tender and no longer pink in the center. (Timing will vary according to the thickness of the chicken pieces.)
Cook’s Tip on Skinning Poultry: You can dramatically reduce the amount of fat and cholesterol in poultry by throwing away the skin. Due to its slippery nature, however, poultry skin can be a challenge to remove. Hold the poultry piece on a flat surface (a plastic cutting board is recommended), grasp the skin with a double thickness of paper towels, and pull firmly. Discard the paper towels. Use a knife or kitchen scissors to trim any remaining visible fat.

sounds good and not too hard to make, I get a craving and can't get rid of it, but my health prevents me from just going to a drive through resturant like I used too.
That website that I listed above has alot of good recipes on it for heart and diabetic patients. You should be able to find just about anything you want on there.
It is good that you care enough about your health to avoid the temptation of the drive through, alot of people would not, they would just blow it off and go satisfy their cravings putting themselves in even more danger.

It is very essential to consume healthy food since the early ages. That restrains all the later problems that occur. I always prefer healthy food and avoid restaurants. I have my maa for that.
And its frugal also to be on a home food regime.
I am too cheap to pay for resturant food, so I have my wallet to thank for that, LOL. It just seems like what you pay for a meal, you could buy alot of groceries.
Yes the amount of money that we spend in the bistros can buy us a lot of grocery for home and a lot more yummy food mixed with a lot of love. LOL. I am in for home food always. i love to live a frugal life :)
