What happens if you leave a country with unpaid debt? Can yo

Hi, I have unpaid debts in australia of up to $10000 and would like to know what i should do. I have not sorted them out and worried that the creditors have made me bankrupt? It has been nearly 2 years since I was back so I'm guessing that they have.
Ok would love some advice.

I am not sure about Australia but in the US if you have unpaid debts a lot can happen over it. Maybe you could refer to the laws in Australia to find out what would or has happened to your debts.

i dont think there is much that can happen in the US. teh only thing they can do is take you to court. the costs of taking an individual customer to court are so high that most companies prefer not to do that.
