I am new to this forum, but I have been reading through a lot of the information. My husband and I have taken out 7 internet payday loans total. I have filed complaints with the Attorney General's office and the BBB on a few that are charging more interest than is allowed in the State of Oklahoma. Now, I need to close my bank account and stop all these ACH debits. We were going to try to pay off these loans, but it's eating up our paychecks. I could not find a letter to send to the payday companies requesting the ACH debits to stop. Can anyone help me?
You may check this samples letter "http://paydayloanopinion.com/2013/06/08/sample-letters/" to know how you should go about this.
What are the names of the pdl companies? Are your lenders licensed in your state? If not, then you owe them nothing more than the principal balance. Don’t pay them any interest or fees. Just close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account. Ask them for the refund, if you have already overpaid them.
