I have several questions, I hope they can be anserwed. My husband and I filed for bankruptcy we were going for 7 but got 13. I had to quit my job because of babysitter issues. so that was a decrease in income by 600. we are on a 100% payment plan( we only filed bankruptcy because of garnishment) it says that we might have to give up our tax return of 5000.
and they can do so for the life of the plan which is 5 years so 5 times 5000 is 25,000 Are payment are set to be 20000 paid over the plan life which means we will be paying almost 50,000. i have a wonderful lawyer who does not return phone calls. I could take our tax return and pay off the garnishment and save almost 45,000 and not deal with this..ugg I need help.
so can I fire my lawyer for lack of communication?

I went thru a nasty divorce. My ex filed false allegations of rape, domestic abuse, chimd abuse, and drug use. All the allegations were lrinted in the local paper and destroyed my business of 17 yrs. i now hv so much business debt that my venders have sued for judgements against me. Im filing for chapter 7 with 60 grand in debt. How good are the bankruptcy courts? I cannot even afford a lawyer. Will the court allow chapt 7 for my situation? What should i expect.
