I just received a call from Ms. Jackson at an attorneys office stating that "their client" would be filing charges for bad checks in my county for the payday loan I didn't finish paying. However the company she said was not even one that I have heard of and she said I never made a payment??? Can they do this?

ms.jackson is a scamming piece of trash.she has your info from the pdl's you had.report this ms.jackson to your local police asap.then ignore future calls.those are illegal threats and need to be reported and ignored.
Yeah...they are scammers. They are just trying to scare you. Don’t share any personal information with them. File a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.
Be careful you can get associated with a trickster. You can lodge complaint against her with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
