Behind on house payment

I have a debt to a credit card company. I have no money to pay the payment they want. Today i got a call from a layers office trying to collect the debt. I explained my situation behind on house payment and no money. They threaten to take me to court. Can they garnish my wages? I live in Texas.

No, they can’t garnish your wages as garnishment is exempted in Texas. But they can file a lawsuit against you because of non-payment. Once the court issues an order against you, they can place a lien on your property.

I'm behind on my house payment almost 2 months and I'm trying to sell the house so I can make a little off the sell instead of just letting it go back. I can't refinance cause of bad credit. My house payments r 700 a month. I was wanting to refinance and get my payments lower so I could make it then. And I'm layed off . Any ideas
