Hi recently got a call about getting sued by legacy visa for credit card debt about 5,000..I was freakin out cause I don't have that money during this hard times..they said they would settle for 2000 paying payments of 400 a month I can make that payment this month since I had money saved but afther I can't...I gave my bank card info so they can deduct this every month...can I stop the next payment and call them to try and get a lesser monthly payment...

I wanted to due 400 just to get somewhat of a big start on paying this debt off...ismael

Yeah…it would be better for you to settle your debts. Explain them about your financial condition. You have done a mistake by giving them your bank card information. Make your payments only via money order, because it is safe.

thanks...this site looks like alot of help..could i call my bank and have them stop payments afther the first one or just cancel the card/ report it stolen and get a new one
