I am being sued for $30,000. I do not have means to bear this. Should I file a bankruptcy? If yes then what to do now?

I am being sued by a bonding company for $3000 and they are trying to do a wage garnishment. How do i go by filing bankruptcy are is it to late to file? Also am
I able to still file & recieve my income tax once I file bankruptcy?

I was in a car accident with a cab neither on of us had insurance the cabs passenger is trying to sue me but I feel as if the accident wasnt my fault her lawyer sent me a letter to sue me should I file bankruptcy?

My dad is being sued for a construction job that is finished but the client says that its not finished. He is sewing my dad for money. The job is finished he just says its not. Can my dad file for bankruptcy if he looses? For this type of case?
