I have resolved a money issue several years ago with a debt collection agency. Another debt collection company demands the same money from the same issue that was closed. What should I do?

Ask them to validate the debt in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they don’t give any reply, then send them a Cease and Desist letter.
