about a year ago I was contacted by an attorney`s office regarding an account that palisades owned. I attempted to make payment with them but it seemed like they did not want it. I even went and got a signature loan so that I sould pay them off. I was taken to court and a judgemnet was made against me. Now a year later they have seized my bank account and placed a lien on my home. What if anything can I do? I have no idea where to go from here. I made the mistake of ignoring this and it has come back to haunt me. I do not wish to do that again. Any input is greatly appreciated.
That is kind of strange them not taking the money to pay it off in full unless they had tried to work out something with you before and you didn't do it. But since being on this forum and hearing other people say how crooked they are I wouldn't put anything past them. If they won't except the money it's not really to much you can do until they have gotten all their money they can still garnish your account. Have you contacted a lawyer and got advice from them on how to handle this? If not I would. Sounds to me like they just want to be difficult to deal with.

Do you still have the money you took out for the loan? If so I would get this applied to the amount you owe as soon as possible. Also were you at the hearing when Palisades got their judgment? I would have told the judge exactly what you listed here but if you did not appear they most likely won with a default judgment.
If you were there then you more or less had your chance to speak so I would just try and get this account paid off as soon as possible. Remember they are more than likely going to attach anything in your bank account so if it were me I would only depostit exactly what I wanted them to take and nothing more. Pay your bills using cash and moany orders.

well i have to say that i agree some are and some are not. i had the chance to have lignexton law assist me in removin my debt and i must say they realy did a good job. no they didnt get every thing removed but they got atleast 80 or 85 percent of it erased
