It's a very large bank....HSBC stands for Hong Kong Shanghai Banking corportation. why do you ask? I believe they're also known as Household bank with the RS being retail services
I've known about HSBC for a long time, but never knew what it was an acronym for. Some time ago they bought Household and took over all those accounts.
HSBC backs a lot of retail charge cards. If you have a Best Buy store card, for example, it is through HSBC.
I used to get loans through them and pay them off and borrow again, they were always good to get your money quick, they did charge a little more for the intrest rate though. I have not dealt with them in a very long time. I am referring to household finance company.
what kind of question do they ask you when they are interviewing you over the phone??? does anybody know? please get back to moosi.. thank you for your time.. anytime moosi..
i just got hired at an hsbc and they never asked me anything over the phone but the interview was alot of, "what did u do in this situation" "tell me about a time when u had to be a leader" stuff like that. the interview was the easy part
This company needs to go under... they service charge their service charges... STAY AWAY from them... you will owe more than you financed. They key in the wrong numbers and your $ does not come out on the right day they service charge you to death... then they increase your interest rate when they say you were late with payments when it was their fault. They now owe me money back because I have closed out my account... I am not sure I will ever see it.
HSBC does have alot of credit cards. My orchard Bank credit card is through HSBC. I have had nothing but good luck with them. They report my payments each month. Raise my limit a few times a year and have decent rates and low fees.
I have an online payment account and savings account with HSBC. Not only is the company quick to respond to any email i send, but the person signing back on the email sends a contact number that goes directly to that person. I realize it is a faceless corporation, but as far as the customer service goes, I find them to be more helpful than some of the people at my local bank. And the interest paid on my savings is in the top 1% of the highest in the nation. They are great.

Do you have a retail account with a store?

I used to deal with household a long, long time ago, but the company that I am familiar with was a finance company.
I get numerous solicitations from them in the mail! I've heard pretty good things about them though not itching to get another card just yet
I think they are still a finance company too dadummy, with some pretty healthy intrest if I am thinking of the same one.

So did have a small interaction with them sometime dadummy? If you do I would like to know about it.
They finance a lot of the store credit cards out there I believe. My Best Buy credit card would show up on my credit under HSBC.
