What is CPU/Citi on my credit report?

I yahooed the address and got a Home Depot account person. She ran both our social security numbers and nothing came back.

We did have a citi card several years ago. Is this a scam?

Hi sherrip,

If it has been more than 7 years ago. It is probably an account that should have been removed already. That could be why they can't find anything on it. If this the case dispute it with the credit agencies and they should remove it.

I also have a CPU/CITI listed on my credit report showing an amount of $269 dollars that is said that i owe. I do not know how to remove this. I would gladly pay the $269 that they say I owe if I new who to send a payment to...??? Any help would be greatly appreciated as to having this removed from my credit reports.

Just had the same thing show up as we refinanced - thanks so much for the helpful info from Anna. In our case it is indeed Phillips 66 gas card. We pay each month to Phillips 66 - Conoco -76 and have never seen anything about cpu/citi!

To Whom This May Concern, I have no idea why this is on my credit report. Its listed as closed by grantor. All I know is this account was delinquent for the months of : Feb., Mar., & Apr. 2011.

so i have teh same kind of problem a citi card has come up and says it has a balance but i do not remember opening any cards in fact i have been trying to get rid of the few i do have. however it does not say where the company is located or name or location of the place it is through how can i find out and contact them so i can get this settled???

hey I have the same thing show up in up on my credit report couldn't figure out who in the world this was checked all my other cards till I came and googled it and read everybody elses comment OMG!! can not believe it was my Phillipis card

CPU/CITI is showing up on my credit report and I don't know what it is. It shows a balance of $1236 and monthly payment of $37. I don't recognize the balance or the payment amount. It doesn't have an account number by it. Reading the comments from others with the same problem, it was their Phillips card but we have a Phillips66 card list on my report. Could it be possible what was on the card when they changed their address? Could you please let me know what this is? My email address is paul351@centurytel.net.
