Is there a statute that states if a Warrant in Debt was filed by a creditor/collection lawyer in the state debtor previously lived but no longer lives, that warrant is no longer valid and pursueable? The state named is Virginia and I moved some months ago to Florida for health reasons and employment since I have been unemployed from 2009 to the present day. Also what is the statue of limitations on credit card debt collection in Virginia?

Welcome to the forums!!!
As far as I know the Statute of limitations in Virginia is as follows:
Written Contracts: 5
Oral Agreements: 3
Promissory Notes: 6
Open-ended Accounts: 3

Once the Statute of limitations has expired, then the creditors/collection agencies won’t be able to take any legal action against you.
