Well, I'd say that there are a handful of them who're operating legally. Some of them are only charging your for the accounts that they'd manage to settle on your behalf.

Some time ago, I wanted to use a CRA to try to straightened out items on my Credit. The CRA I wanted to use had (supposely) called my creditors. According to the CRA's a few of the creditors "refused to go through CRA's." What happens then? If CA's refuse to do this?
