I receive a wage garnishment from 7/2005 over the weekend, but i also filed bankruptcy in 10/2005. Is this legal?

The termination of garnishments will only protect wages that have been earned after you filed bankruptcy. Wages that were earned before your bankruptcy are perhaps recoverable.
