what is the law on collection companies reaging something

If something has been on your report for over 5 years and the collection company reages it now it is showing just 2 years old, what can you do

Did you pay for any of your old debts recently?
If you have made any payments towards an old debt that had it's SOL close to expiration, then you've made it "collectable" once again. It simply helped reset the SOL clock.
Tell me some thing, are you fully aware of your state SOL laws?
