My lawyer advised me to to take a "consent Judgment" based on the idea of filing bankrutcy, however I did nt qualify at the time. I have paid my lwayer $1000 to represent me in this case agaist Citi and I now have a judgment with a 60 day stay of execution. Can I file a vacate of judgment on this?
With whatever I know, I find the judge can vacate such judgment if you (being the defendant) appear at the court within a period of 60 days. This way probably you can avoid the execution of the initial judgment. Now, let's see what the experts have to say in this regard.
