I was served a summons today from Suttell and Hammer for (plaintiff) Midland Funding LLC vs. Me. I live in the state of Washington. I am not sure though if this is a scare letter to get me to pay them or if this is a legit document filed at the court.
Next to the "No." is blank, there is no number, why?
From what info. I have gathered I need to file a response and then a validation letter. Is there anything else?
I just got one yesterday, any update on your situation? I called and made payment arrangements with them, but I feel like it is kind of a shady situation. Have you done anything or talked to them? Received any kind of communication from them?
Go to the court house and look up the case. you are entitled to send a DV letter. I would do that.
Whatever happened with that? I just got one myself and I called them and setup a payment schedule. I don't really know what I am getting myself into.

what state are you in?
what is the original creditor and the name of the CA?
what is the date of first delinquency? 30 days after last payment
this information will help me make suggestions specific to your case. The state will determine the statue of limitations for this debt. knowing the name of the OC original creditor, will help show if there is a specific govt regulators can intervene. Knowing the dates are very important.

I live in Washington state
WAMU and then chase. After WAMU went under and Chase took over we stopped getting monthly bills and we eventually stopped paying because of several reasons including that we did not know if our payments were credited to our account. I don't know what "CA" means.
Our last payment was on 08/2009.
