(I posted this in another thread, but it was really long and may have been buried)
I sent a Debt Validation Letter to a creditor, LVNV FUNDING LLC., to the address that was listed on my credit report:
PO Box 740281
Houston, TX 77274
I sent it by certified mail with return receipt. I got the letter returned to me because that address is no longer valid. I can't seem to find a current address for them. There are lots of them out there, but how do I know which one is real?
copy this letter as is in the copy machine front and back. run the mail article number at usps.com tracking page and print it out. Send these to the CRA by cmrrr with Method Of Validation letter
Ask the CRA, how did they verify the information they are reporting when you can't even mail a letter to the address provided.
immediately report this to your State AG. this is a violation. you are not supposed to hunt for ways to contact the tradline providers. By law it is supposed to be given to you by the CRA.
