Ok so I sent a DV letter(the one from this forum on a sticky) on 9-25-10 and got the green reciept back today 10-01-10 along with this response so plz let me know what to do or how long to wait: only going to write the body message of the letter:
"Please be advise that we have received your request for information on the above notated account. Although we realize that this information is of the utmost importance, we must inform you that this request can take up to/or exceed 30 days. Upon our receipt, these documents will be forwarded for your review. After you have reviewed that information, we ask that you contact our office to discuss this account.
While your request is pending, feel free to contact us if you should have any questions.

their letter was dated 9/28/2010 by the way..
they don't have to respond in 30 days. federal law states that they must cease all collection activity until they do. have they put this on your credit report?
do you have all your credit reports?
what state are you in?
what is the original creditor and the name of the CA?
what is the date of first delinquency? 30 days after last payment

They still have it listed as a collection on transunion...If the CA doesnt respond in 30days what would be the next step? Do I do a follow up letter around Oct 29th? Thanks for answering my questions.. =O)

Send a MOV dispute to transunion
ask TU how they are reporting this if you can't get a response. I wrote an essay on this for ehow
MOV? Looking at the glossary and didnt find MOV. I saw a place where they listed the acrynoms but cant seemed to find it. Where can I find your sample letter on ehow? How would I look it up? thanks for all ur help...
