Hello All,
I'm hoping that everyone can help me clear up one issue.
I had a collections account that went to court and is now listed as a judgement but is also still listed as a collections account.
Does this count as a duplicate listing?
Duplicate listings
Hi Tanner,
No, this is not considered as duplicate listing. The collections will be there on our credit report for 7 years and the judgment will stay against the same account for 7-10 years depending on your state laws.
Thanks,
Aaron
If the collection agent sued you, then I disagree with aaron. when did this happen? is it paid?
Duplicate listing
The Collections agency did sue me and was granted a default judgement this has been paid and the judgement is showing as satisfied on my credit report however the collections account for the same account is still showing unpaid.
I know I can get this to reflect as paid not that it helps but i would rather have it removed since it's already listed as a judgement.
