Hi all,
I checked my credit report and found that I have 3 lates in the last 24 months on credit card accounts. A 30 day late from 2009 on one account and a 60 day from 2008 on another and another 90 day late from 2008.
I am not sure how the 90 day late is going to hurt my score. Also, wil a 30 day late on a mortgage weigh more heavily than a 30 day late on a credit card or other type of accounts? I have 6 months in a row of 30 day lates on an old mortgage account. These lates are over 3 years old now.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Lates on my credit report
Hi Han,
I think you can try Goodwill Letters or the 623 dispute method with the creditors to remove these negatives. However, the 30 and 60 day late won't have much different effect on your credit score than the 90 day late. All of these are negatives, and will hurt your score.
Fort more details on 623 dispute refer http://www.creditmagic.org/repair/about9714.html#40242 .
Hope this helps.

Aaron
Goodwill doesn't work, in my humble opinion. A polite 623 that adds in some of the hard ships these lates are causing is more likely to work.
do you have all your credit reports?
what state are you in?
what is the original creditor and the name of the CA?
what is the date of first delinquency? 30 days after last payment
goodwill letter
Hi cinnamngrl,
But it did work out for me. Infact many of my friends too used Goodwill letter to remove the negatives. Though I don't know for sure if it is a legal process to remove the negatives.
