Dismissed Case

I just went to court today to answer a summons where a collections company is trying to collect on a debt that does not belong to me. They did not show up and the Judge dismissed the case. Can they come back with their nonsense?

Hi TrustingGod,

The collection agency (CA) can come back. So, you should collect paperwork of this case and the dismissal paperwork. If the CA comes back, you will be able to use the paperwork to prove that you don't owe this debt.

However, you will have to send debt validation letter if they come back.
