Credit card reporting disputes

Hi,

I recently called the credit bureaus as they weren't consistently classifying the account type of one of my credit cards the way the credit card company reports it to them. The dispute for each of them includes the CRA contacting the credit card company for verification of the card's account type.

If approved by the bureaus, would it be fair to say that the card's correct account type will be amplified to all of the various types of reports, such as CRA FICO score reports, myFICO score reports?

Thanks for any views on this.

Hi Pietra,

If approved by the bureaus, would it be fair to say that the card's correct account type will be amplified to all of the various types of reports, such as CRA FICO score reports, myFICO score reports?

Yes, the change is supposed to reflect on all of your credit reports from MyFICO, www.annualcreditreport.com etc. If it does not, you can dispute the listing.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi Pietra,

All authentic companies provide you a credit report based on the ones compiled by the credit bureaus. So, once the credit bureaus update the changes, these will reflect on the reports provided by MyFICO and other such companies.

Thanks.
