Hi,
I see there is a lot of useful info here on how to repair your own credit. But my problem is I don't have the time to do that on my own. It won't be possible for me to write letters, organize the credit report info, negotiate settlements and do other such things. So can I pay a professional to handle all that for me or is that what DMP, ccc's do ? I am a little confused about DMP,ccc's.
Do DMP hurt my credit? how does it work?
Thanks
Debt management plan
Hi Park,
A person generally opts for Debt Management Plan (DMP) when knee deep in debt. It helps you to pay off the debts in a systematic way, where you are supposed to deposit money monthly to the credit counseling agency. However, in your case you want to repair your credit. Thus, if you can't manage to repair your own credit, you can get the help of a credit repair company.
A credit repair company can help you to clean up your credit report. However, before you can opt for nay company you should research on the details of the company - if the company is accredited with the Better Business Bureau and if it is a non profit company. Also, know your rights as a consumer.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Aaron
