Credit reports not showing positive accounts

Hi,

I have some paid closed accounts. All of these are positive accounts and have been paid off in full. However, I noticed that on all three of my credit reports these accounts are missing. Though they are in good standing and still they do not appear.

Specifically, a student loan which I paid in full in the mid 90's and a car loan also paid in full in the late 90's. I know that negative accounts can drop off your credit reports after seven years but do positive accounts too drop off as well after the seven years?

Hi Corlan,

If these accounts have been closed down then it will account to the positive listings not showing up on your credit report. Moreover, like the negatives positive listings too fall off your credit report after 7 years.

However, there is no provision outlined by Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) that requires the account (if not closed for over 10 years) reported by the original cr4editor to drop off whether positive or negative. The derogatories drop off but the accounts do not.

Thanks,

Aaron
