I sent OC a validation letter and they sent it back to me with a message that said " need coppy of report" Should I have to send them a copy of my credit report?

Hi Edman,

A debt validation letter is generally sent to a collection agency, and not to the original creditor. Can you give more details on this account?

Thanks,

Aaron

I have some late payments that are showing up on my report. I disputed them to the cra, but they came back verified. I sent a letter to the bank, that said I was late, asking them to provide me the documents that they used to verify that I was late. They sent my letter back with a note written on it " need copy of report" . Is this normal? And if so what else should I send to make sure that they have everything? Sending these letters at 5.00 a piece can get expensive if they keep playing these games.

do you have all your credit reports?
what state are you in?
what is the original creditor and the name of the CA?
what is the date of first delinquency? 30 days after last payment

what you did is called a 623 investigation request. and they are stalling.

File a complaint with the bank regulator. it depends on the bank

national bank> OCC
thrift >OTS

there is also the federal reserve and the FDIC.

Hi eddie

I think your bank is playing a game with you and thus trying to avoid their responsibility just by making the process lengthy.

You are advised to file a a complaint with OCC.

Thanks

before filing a complaint should I wait my 30 days and send a copy of the letter and green card that I sent to the OC to the CRA and dispute it that way or should I go straight to OCC, it has been 8 days since I sent my letter to First federal.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you can wait for the 30 days before you can dispute this item with the credit bureaus and file a complaint.

Thanks,

Aaron

Actually, I think that you need to complain to the Office of Thrift Supervision. OTS

the statute of limitations in Kentucky looks like 5 years.

I don't think you need to wait because the bank has responded without answering your questions.

PS 3 in 1 online reports is not what I meant. It is very convenient to be able to check them daily but sometimes the reporting is incomplete and/or confusing. get your free reports

Go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp and get hard copies of all your reports. it is important to get hard copies of all your reports so you have an accurate picture. You have the right to get at least one free copy of all three reports each year.

will getting them seperate be different than the 3-in-1 that I bought? My goal was to get one every30 or 40 days to keep track of my progress.

Thanks

Hi Guest,

It doesn't matter if you get a three in one report or the three reports separately. The main thing is you need to get hold of am authentic copy of your credit report.

Thanks,

Aaron

no the printed reports are better, and you are entitled to one from each for every year
