So don blame us, take some responsibilty for yourselves. I just called the CA to see exactly what was going on about the dispute on my brothers credit report. they first of all wanted me to send them a payment through western union to take care of the debt, they then lowered it if I would do so. I told them that I wanted to know why I hadent recieved a letter of the debt and they didnt have they correct address of where i even or ever had resided in and the address on my brothers credit report was different from the one she gave me, she said that they had moved. I then asked her if I could get some documentation validating the debt and she said she would send it after i made the payment which initially was $315 at the start of the conversation, now she would accept $200 at the end of the conversation.
I dont know what to do? HELP :idea:

Now, 7 yrs later (statue of limitation for my state is 6 yrs) I am contacted by a collection agency telling me that I am in a wage garnishment state, going to have a lien put on my home and numerous other threats if I don't pay the full amount by Monday. Can they really take me to court over this?
