WHY AM i BEING SUED BY THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES WHEN I AM GOING WITH HESSKENNEDY&CO. I NOW HAVE TO APPEAR BEFORE A JUDGE TO TELL THEM WHY I AM NOT PAYING ON MY CREDIT CARD. I HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER COMPANY EVEN IF I AM GOING THRU THEM.WHY
A collection agency to whom your account was sold may be the one which has filed the lawsuit for the collection of the debt.
they cant really do much if your makeing any kind of payment you need more details.
I would be calling hess, kennedy and company and ask them about this, they should have communicated and set up a payment plan that the company was in agreement with. I would tell them to send you a copy of that agreement so that you can show it to a judge, I don't think they will take it too lightly that even though you are making payments, they are going to waste the courts time on this issue. Get the agreement and a copy of all payments sent to the company that is suing you, make them explain to a judge why they accepted the payments if they were not willing to settle for that amount monthly.
