I have a collection that opened in 1994. Date of Status is 05/2005.
This collection is over 16 years old. Creditor's statement says that
it was purchased by another lender. What can I do to have this removed. The statue of limition in Texas is 4 years but the orginal office is OHIO, which their statue is 15 years. I am a resident of Texas.
They have reaged ur debt and this is very illegal. The SOL for reporting is 7 years for a negative item. The clock starts ticking from the 1st delinquency that caused this to go to collections not from when the collection agency bought it,which is what appears to have happened to u.
Dispute with bureau in writing and if the collection agency verifies u have a violation u can sue over and they will owe u money!!!
