alright. hi im mike and im in a crisis right now. well i feel like it. i bought a motorcycle last year. and i started making payments on it but i went on deployment later on the next year and i wasn't able to make payments. so HSBC, which is a motorcyle loan company financed my bike for me. but when i stopped making the payments, they sold it to LVN FUNDING LLC. ok so i finally try to get back on track with my payments on it, and i call LVN funding to see if i can voluntary re-posse it. they told me they will have someone come out to my apartments and take a look at it. they asked for my address that day and told me they'll be out to get an estimated price on how much they'll take for it sometime during the week. so i waited a day and the next day i go outside. MY BIKE IS GONE! i didn't have insurance on the bike at the time but i tried to call LVN back and thinking that they took it to take a look at it. but when i called they said they still haven't sent anyone out yet. what do i do??? i feel so horrible. and i still have to pay the agency with no bike. please help me. thanks.

Hi Miike,

I can understand the problem you are in, but I am afraid that as you have no proof to show that your bike was taken by the collection agency, you will have to make the payments. You can either try to negotiate a settlement, or an alternative payment plan. Settlement can hurt your credit though it may lower the outstanding debt amount.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron

thanks so much! well i've got lvn funding llc saying that their going to sue me because i dn't have all of their money. 13000 for a motorcycle. (that im still paying notes) but they said they didn't want my month to month payments. they all 13000 of it. can they sue me? they said they'll take legal action against me since i dn't have all of the money upfront. will i loose my job?? thanks aaron for the last note.

yes, miike they can sue you.

I find this whole thing bizarre. Are you sure it wasn't repossessed? Have you filed a police report?

no i haven't filed a police report, but i plan on doing so now. i haven't filed a police report as we speak yet because i owe money to LVN funding and its for the bike. so either way isn't it right that im still at a lose either route i go??? i thought about calling if they someone stole it and filing for a stolen bike but i didn't have insurance on the bike at the time. im in the military, i jus got back from deployment and my bike gets stolen at my new apartment place with no insurance. what do i do? file for bankruptcy? talk to my superivisors at work or what? i really dn't want to bring my own problems to work, so i haven't said anything to them yet. but if that's my last option, i have no option.
_____________ thanks cinnamngrl on the last forum. any info on my situation helps..

if the bike was stolen it must be reported to the police. It might be recovered!!!!

file the police report, and make sure you tell them that the collection agency set an appointment to repossess exactly when the bike disappeared. then send a dv
