I had an account for $30 that I never knew about. All of a sudden it appears on my credit report. I immediately paid it off. The guy at the collections agency told me that in order for the collections to be taken off my credit report they needed a letter of satisfaction from the creditor. I have contact them in several occasions, but they don't answer to my inquiries. Is there a sample letter of satisfaction from the creditor anywhere?

Hi Jac,
As you are not able to contact the original creditor, you can send the 623 dispute letter to the collection agency (CA). However, before you can send the 623 dispute letter to the CA, you may first dispute the item with the credit bureaus.

Hi well I paid the collections agency. I didn't know about the 623 dispute letter before. I contacted the original creditor and they said this was a persistent problem and they cannot do anything. The problem is the the original creditor was sending me correspondence via email to an old email address that I haven't used in years so I did not know about it.
What can I do? I don't want my credit ruined for just $30. I need to figure out a way to remove this from my credit history.
Do you have any other suggestions?

i owed some money to the IRS and i already pay off the bill,the problem is i'm still receiving letters from them.as late as today i called to the burreau there was a lady who tell me that i have to write a satisfaction letter.i don't how to write it could somebody please help me with the letter.

is it the letter that somebody can use to show that ( he or she already pay a debt or what ) please i need to know exactly what it is and if you have a sample send it so that i can have a look at it.
