I took a cash advance from my credit card for $30,000 to fund a business venture that went bad and I can't pay back a dime. I'm inclined to just disappear. Can this be construed as credit card fraud if they can't find me and there is no attempt at repayment? If so, and they can't find me to serve me a summons, can the SOL run out on this.
They will sue and get a judgment which can haunt you forever depending on the state you live in. I they can't serve a summons they can advertise in a newspaper and judge will rule it as service. if you leave the country, the SOL will toll and not run out until you return.
What about bankruptcy?
