I disputed a tradeline from the original creditor that is listing the account as sold or transfered to another lender. Experian and Transunion are reporting the information as verified. Equifax is reporting this as a positive account.
I disputed with Experian again and they send me a letter stating that they are not going to re-investigate based on FCRA section 611(a)(3)(a) and that the FTC doesnot require the CRA to obtain documentation from a reporting creditor.
Can I still require the re-investigation under FCRA Section 611(a)(7) and USC 15 Section 1861i (6)(B)(iii)?
What is my next step? What options do I have?

Hi Wasco,
First, make sure that your dispute letter is not frivolous. You can try again by providing the detail of the dispute with the original creditor. Before writing the dispute letter, find out what details can make your situation strong. You can contact a credit counselor, certified under National Frequency Coordinator's Council (NFCC) who can negotiate with the bureau. He will also be able to advise you as to what paper works are required, to meet the Fair Credit Reporting Agency (FCRA) requirements.
MOV is not reinvestigation. Quote the CRAs on words on you right to a report of the method used to obtain the info on your report. This works best when you have attempted to contact the tradeline furnisher by CMRRR without result. Basically you are saying how did you get this info? I wrote them a 623 letter at the address you provided and they did not respond.
MOV under USC 15 section 1861i
Question?
I disputed an account for Midland through Equifax on line dispute system. Dispute was filed on Feb 13th. Results of their investigation states that the account was verified as belonging to me. The investigation results report was Feb 17th.
Equifax definately used E-Oscar on this one. Can this be challenged as unacceptable Method of Investigation?
Never dispute online it is a waste
It is not a violation to use e oscar
Did you send a DV to midland? Or 623?
Send a investigation request to midland cmrrr
