Can morgage co touch my social security.

I am on social security and now i have no job . I can not make my morgage payments anymore can the morgage company touch my social securityif i give my house back it is my only income

I don't think so but you may need to protect it by contacting a lawyer

I do not believe so. What you will need to do is ask an atty. If they would sell your house and get less than what you owed it would still leave you liable for the remaining amount. It would not touch your social security benefits but if you were to sell anything , get any other money or have a bank account then they could attach that.

No, I don't believe they can take S.S. for failure to pay mortgage. You do need a lawyer, however if you can't pay mortgage, you probably can't pay for a lawyer either. So you need to find a good legal aid lawyer, which can be found in most counties, check your local telephone directory, or call the bar association. They can usually give you a name and number for legal aid.
