Dispute letters after sending out DV letter

I am just alittle confused i sent out my Debt validation letter to the collection agency but do i now need to send out a dispute letter to the CRA's at the same time.

Hi Westway,

I will advise you to wait till you get an answer for your validation. If the collection agency agrees to your validation request then it’s well and good, and if they don’t then go for the dispute letter. But before that you should check if you really owe them any money.
