I was served today for a medical bill that I should have taken care of. The insurance company would have picked up the bill but I did not turn in the claim. Absolutely my fault!! The amount owed is $3,200 atty fees $800 and I'm sure the filing fee is $200. My main objective is to not get a judgement! So... should I contact the atty's office or file a response to give me more time to come up with the money? Could I during this time contact the insurance company to pay the claim?
It seems to be a certain mistake on your part that you haven't shared this with your insurance carrier as yet. I'm not sure of the time that may have lapsed since you actually got treated for this illness. What did the attorney suggest to you when you saw him the last time?
