I paid 3 collections and the OC agreed to delete these off my credit report and I had a judgment vacated that was not mine it as well should be gone from credit report in dec.will I see a increase in my credit score?
Did you get them to put in writing that they would delete it once it was paid. Did you send them a pay for delete letter. If so and you don't have anymore negatives listed on your report. Than yes it should. By how much or when it's hard to say. It usually takes about three months for the CA to adjust your score. And your score is made up of different things such as how much you owe, credit history, ect.
I have another judgment and 2 more collection accounts that I'm trying to do pay for deletes on collections and the judgment is 5 years old but everything will be paid the end of dec. and I have no bills.I will be debt free for the new year,I want to buy a home in 2010.My credit scores are 584,559,and 613.I just have to get to 620 and I'm hoping having all that removed will get me there .should I get a secured card for. 500.00 and keep balance low and pay off every month ,I'm hoping to reach 620 before april so I can get the tax credit.
A secured credit card would help in building your score. So when you say debt free. I know it means you will not owe anyone but do you have other debt listed on your report that are in good standing. Because if not and you have nothing listed after the negative ones are deleted. It's going to be like having no credit history at all and that can hurt your score as well.
credit score
I have 8 accounts paid in full that was never late.
Hi Jenny,
That is a good thing. With all those gone and having 8 accounts it good standing. I don't see where you would have a problem then. I believe you score will rise. Now by how much I'm not sure. Now if you want to get a secured credit card and see if that will raise your score even more than you can. If it doesn't work out for you then you can close it in about 90 days. But remember if you do get one. Don't use but 35% of your limit.
secured card
I have true credit and I just updated my credit with transunion and the collection accounts was removed today.my score with them went up 44 points I know thats not the same score mortage companys use but as soon as judgment shows vacated on report I'm buying my fico scores just to see how much they really went up before I even attempt mortage loan those scores should be same as lender would use right?
Yes the score is the same one lenders see. If I was you I would pull my credit reports and scores from all three and when you talk to the bank let them know your credit scores. They should be able to tell you if you will qualify or not based on your scores. That way you can save on all those inquiries on your report and lowering your score. Now if you find one that can get you qualified then it is ok to pull it then because they have to of course. And congrats on raising your score that was a great increase.
